Barnes Walker III made his feature debut in "Freez'er". He reluctantly agreed to a screen test and finally accepted the part.

Barnes became the "lynch pin" of the movie because the entire plot and all the characters revolve around J.M. Other actors had to endure indie hardships, but Barnes is in almost every scene, which means he was on the set almost every shoot day for the duration of the shoot.

"Unfortunately, I had not done much film work since I moved back home to Atlanta," Barnes says. "I met Brian and admired his passion for film work... and I do mean film WORK. More importantly, he has a heart of gold."

Brian thought Barnes might be right for the part when he told him a story about beating up a school bully. "It wasn't really much of a story, but I guess I looked kind of angry when I was telling it," Barnes laughs.

Even though it may be his first professional acting gig, Barnes Walker III is no stranger to filmmaking. He graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in film and has worked on documentaries, features, and commercials. His understanding of the craft is what gave him such an edge as an actor. Being an Avid editor, he knew how the shots would cut together.

Barnes still doesn't know what he wants to be when he grows up. "I've worked all kinds of jobs lately -writer, film editor, videographer, bank teller, paralegal-- so acting is interesting. I can have a different life for a little while."
